Do you remember yet... the Summer... when

silent waves cradled our nascent love, sighs

of souls soared under starry night skies,

whilst a breeze sang Nature's blissful Amen.

Do you remember yet... the moment... wise

fireflies sparkled along the lake-shore, then

silver Moon rays covered our pale shapes, when

we greeted newborn love, with faithful eyes.

Now the Summer gives her throne to Autumn,

and yellow leaves whisper under my feet,

old stormy winds follow forgetful time,

weary daydreams rest on transience's bosom,

but deeply hidden, within my heartbeat,

our living love remains forever mine.
