To change?

I'm happy, dear, I think, by now, you understand the pursuit of meditation, though the thought is strange and somewhere, inside your scared mind there sounds a protesting voice.
To change your usual train of thoughts, to lose the harmful but acquaintance routine - it is not easy to give up the socially accepted 'normal' ways.
To take off your mind's long ago wore rags and to clothe it in your soul's celebrating suit.
But, in my opinion, our everyday 'bodily' thinking doesn't deserve the marker - normal.
This 'normal' process of thinking makes you to be sad, disappointed, nervous, physically ill. This 'normal' thinking takes you to the past, feeds you with your painful memories' torment and it projects a hopeless future, lies exaggerated troubles and makes you to believe your own helplessness.

Is this thinking method 'normal'?
Oh, sorry dear, I almost became angry with this idea.

You see, our body, as a given, ready made tool, contains these automatically working 'aids'.
Our everyday, 'bodily' thinking is an ego controlled program, and in ideal settings it runs in the background to help in solving our material life's challenges. In everyday life, when we have to face/conflict society's norms, when we submerge the deepest darkest material vision - that time these rough thoughts may give solutions - but that is all!
You must not overvalue this software. When projected to the outside world, for short times it can work usefully, but when it overwhelms your delicate spiritual 'Nature Reserve' - just the havoc will be the upshot.
This program is simply not suitable to handle the inner process.
People, who don't realise the difference, who treat their inner realm as if it was a common, trivial 'land' - these people destroy their own soul/spirit by their 'bodily' thinking's raw ordinariness.
Maybe, you know the metaphor - like an elephant (bull?) in a china shop.
Don't let this thinking into your beautiful, precious inner realm.
You own fragile miracles there, and the responsibility is yours to save, guard and to grow these values... and - be sure, dear - just these values will be taken Home, at the end!
And meditation can switch off this injurious madness.
As a huge cleaning sweeps out the useless energy and makes clean/clear place to the arriving truth.

When you watch your breath, you listen to your heartbeat - they are the moments of truth.
Te only, single truth of the illusion, called material life, is your body's naked, bared working!
Watching, listening this process with silent, emty mind, you catch sight to your own personal truth.
The single truth of your material existence.
Your body is a 'crossroad' - you may give it over to the ego's bodily thinking, to kill your own soul and harm your spirit voluntarily by this decision.
Or, you may use this valued tool as a magical key, your heart and lungs open the door to your spiritual wonderland. Your inner silence starts the love-energy flow automatically.

You just have to put a decision!

God - the Universe, the Great Spirit - you may call, as you like - supports your intention.
Just watch, there is a 'material evidence', a built-in automatic lock in our body. A safety-valve, which can ruin the ego's walls and opens energy flow for a short time.
If someone doesn't know and value her/his own soul and seeks only material, bodily experiences - sexuality takes her/him to the inner truth when orgasm overwhelms and ruins the material vision for some moments.
Regarding the upshot, orgasm and meditation are very close to each other. The difference, that meditation gives longer periods of conscious clarity.

(It is not accidental, that sexual suppressions, society's resistance, personal judgements, prejudices, shame, harms and hurts follow this topic, drown by silence... but... this theme deserves a new chapter.)

There are various, different roads, but all of them leads to enlightenment.
Maybe the path will be longer with roundabouts, maybe your struggles will be sustained and hard, but at last you'll arrive - necessarily!
