Paradigm shift

"This is the end!

Oh, cruel world, awful fate, God's shoddy

revenge, all of them I hate,

never let random hits to take away from me

this comfortably green, softly hairy body"

- cries the caterpillar locked up blindly

in its safe cocoon's darkness tightly,

"Hostile destiny will never find me!" 

"This is the start!"

- replies metamorphosis' colourful child;

fed by dark, secretly hidden inside,

rose from visceral fears, burst into life,

predestined to fly in triumphant light,

steps out of the cocoon's fertile night,

"change has arrived" smiles

and unfolds its creased wings the newborn butterfly.
