Heavenly Hell

              My dirt road leads along, within 

              painful decisions' ugly fields,

              night shadows of my spoken lies

              raid this trembling, hopeless heart,

              remorse and self-reproach haunts

              through memories' sepulchral mounds,

              unburied dreams' rotted beliefs

              stink deadly over swampy fears,

              i know this territory well,

              this dreary valley is my Hell;

              my dirt road leads, takes me across

              the sunny successes' meadows,

              my blessed children's smile shines, 

              stars of caressing bright sky,

              unexpected love's heavenly gift 

              paints me by its golden tints,

              where God's eternal presence 

              bursts into bloom in my hands,

              yes, I know this hidden land,

              this shiny field is my Heaven; 

              the swindler signposts may show their jest,

              both roads lead to the same inner land,

              I know this territory well,

              this is my Heaven,

              this is my Hell.
